The mission of Refurbished Pets of Southern Michigan is to assist abandoned, homeless or unwanted animals by placing them in qualified, suitable, and approved foster or permanent homes; to rescue abandoned, homeless or unwanted animals by removing them through legal means from unsuitable environments or shelters.

- » To educate the general public about rescue programs, responsible dog ownership, and the prevention of pet overpopulation and to consider the adoption of animals from their local shelters or rescue
- » To work with governmental agencies to implement positive changes in all aspects of animal reform at local and state levels
We are passionate and ethically committed to save and restore animals to their well-being state of existence, while encouraging adoption with hopes of dogs being saved will bring a healing and joyful atmosphere to families helping to promote a positive change. Our vision is not to predict the future but to help create it.
How can you help Refurbished Pets of Southern Michigan
All cost involved in the RPSM Correction Companion Program are the responsibility of Refurbished Pets of Southern Michigan and supported by public donations. RPSM is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. This means any donation you give is tax deductible. This entire program is donation driven and does not cost the taxpayers or state anything. Each dog is estimated to cost about $285 for a 3 month tenure. This is where your giving is the best value. It keeps on giving by restoring a dog’s life, restoring a prisoners life, and enriching a family with a trained dog.
